Welcome!
I’m Seo Young, a Ph.D. candidate at KAIST specializing in 3D hand interaction for AR/VR.
Research Interests:
My work at UVR Lab focuses on high-precision 3D hand interaction. My research integrates geometric approach to the interaction and user-centric design to solve the challenges of precision and usability in complex digital environments.
The Goal:
While my foundation is in HCI research, my focus is on the application: building the next-generation of immersive interaction. My vision is to translate rigorous HCI research into magical moments for interactive entertainment. I am dedicated to evolving how we play and explore, from next-gen gaming to large-scale theme park attractions.
Outside the Lab:
You’ll find me exploring systems with personality; playing video and board games🎮🎲, noodling on guitar🎸, learning new sports❄️, and herding three cats😺.
